PWD Utility Plans

Do I need a utility plan?

• Any new water or sewer connection to the PWD mains require a utility plan to show what new connections will be made.
• All new construction projects require a PWD Utility plan.
• If you need a new fire sprinkler service or need larger water/drainage services you will need a PWD Utility Plan

How does our process work?

• If you know what types of new connects you need please tell us, we can also walk you through this to help determine what you need.
• We then collect the existing city water and sewer main locations, water pressure tests and info from the you to produce the plans.
• We send you the draft plan to review and make any comments or requests changes.
• We then submit the PWD Utility plan to be reviewed.
• If PWD has any comments on the plan we revise the plan and resubmit until you get approval.

What do I do now that I have an approved PWD Utility Plan?

• -You share the approved utility plan with your architect, plumber and/or fire sprinkler contractor.
• The approved utility plan is a required to get a building, plumbing permit or fire sprinkler permit.
